In this mystery novel by Philip Antony, I was captured by the intrigue both in the story and with the characters. How could a File change the world? To what lengths would the world's largest drug dealer go to obtain the File? Antony's imagination provides love and hate, tendemess and brutality, family protection and seeing life of others dispensable. I enjoyed the adventure. At the end of the book, we are told there is more to come.

I have read several books written by Philip Antony and would highly recommend them. I found Clelia a most memorable read as I could identify with the struggles faced by Clelia as those faced by my own family as they arrived by ship from Italy to America. We should never lose sight of where we came from and how difficult it was for our parents and grandparents to pave the way for us. I would strongly recommend Clelia to young adult readers who may learn a bit more of what the generations before them endured to give them the lives they now freely enjoy.

Clelia, remarkably, is based a true Story. Her early life, entirely in the Vatican, reared as an orphan by nuns, is fascinating. Her zestful success as a young, single woman in Rome - having had no experience of life outside the Vatican - is almost miraculous. Her experiences give insight into immigration to America just as WWI was overtaking Italy. In the arc of the book, she finds loving support and self-sufficiency, before, sadly, being coerced by a man and his brothers. Her success is turned into years of turmoil. I found her life memorable and am enriched by her story.

This is the second Philip Antony book that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed his style of writing. His writing transported me to the difficult days of immigration. His character development made his characters believable. It's a book that is easy to read and enjoyable.

In this riveting, fast paced Story, Philip Antony brings forth friendship, love, fear, perseverance, and compassion. The family relationships of loving parent and child, the struggle between good and evil, and the ah-ha moment of self-realization, make this a worthwhile read. I enjoyed the nomadic tribe in the desert setting. Antony has a captivating, vivid imagination along with a bit of humor which brings surprises on the journey. I found the glossary Of characters helpful. Nazir is seen to be different as a child and not a warrior like other boys. His difference and determination become his power.

I just finished reading this book and found it to be engaging, enlightening, and insightful. I would suggest it to anyone from 14 to 100 years of age. The author weaves a story that draws the reader in...it's as though the reader is with Joshua on his journey to self discovery. Don't miss the opportunity to read this book as you will not be disappointed. I have already ordered two additional books from this author.

Ashes Blown in the Wind was a good read and has qualities I always appreciate in a book. First of all, I enjoy a good Story, well told, that ultimately affirms our positive potential as humans. In addition, the opportunity to learn details of another culture, in this case a certain slice of South Africa, is enriching. It is refreshing to be immersed in a milieu where the valued qualities are not the wealth, power, and possessions of American culture.

Life brings unexpected circumstances. When difficult circumstances arise, we have a choice on how we respond. In this action-packed story, "Benjamin" loses his family and Paul Tressler comes close to losing his life. Both situations transform their lives. Through their suffering, they find meaning with each other and in a life of service. The story takes place in the township of Soweto, South Africa, where living is very difficult. There is deep respect for the Sangoma, a Zulu healer, who touches the life of every person. I appreciate how their transformation shows us that it is never too late to find deeper meaning in life.

A lovely, heart warming book which is easy to read and would make a great gift for an early teen reader as well as adults! Great description and characterisation. Highly recommend this charming book!

I enjoyed this book!! A different spin on the regular disappearance/kidnapping story or ***plot spoler**** alien vs boy relationship. I thought it was heart pounding in the action and insightful as well as thought provoking. As a parent, I felt for the parents - the guilt, anger and empathy for your child to go through any pain or suffering. As a mom Of little kids, I appreciated the sadness and frustration a child would feel with a injury that sets him apart from everyone else forever. Having grown up with E.T. (the Extra-Terrestrial) and other films , I have always thought that as a culture we should think before acting when faced with unknown phenomenon. If we did more investigation, where would we be in life? To embrace what we do not understand - instead out of fear we destroy. Ahi well such is this world... I digress - the book is an interesting take on the possibilities of a future where one day, a boy can have dreams dashed and miraculously find hope and love in a different and unexpected existence. Read it and discuss

A moving Story in which I found myself quickly immersed. The characters, as well as the plot, had immediately captured my attention and that of my two sixteen year olds. A beautifully written book about human understanding and compassion found from the most unlikely of beings. This is truly a childrenS book for all ages

Vanished is a thoughtful story that highlights conflicting emotions. Tommy, the main character, shows tremendous growth.
